[sw360-dev] Sorting lists of releases: preference?

Hi,

 

there is the proposal to ignore the vendor name for sorting releases in lists:

 

https://github.com/sw360/sw360portal/issues/294

 

https://github.com/sw360/sw360portal/issues/287

 

rather just use the component name and version.

 

So instead of

 

Apache thrift 0.9.1

boost 1.54

Cordova 55.0

 

we would have

 

boost 1.54

Cordova 55.0

Apache thrift 0.91

 

It shall affect the readme oss generation for example as well as release listings in the project areas.

 

personally, I am not sure about it. But how is about your opinions how to deal with these two issues?
