Re: [sumo-user] Question about Fuel Modeling

Thanks for the suggestion. Tracking fuels besides electricity is now supported in the very latest development version by setting option --device.battery.track-fuel.
For this you can combine any emissionClass with the battery device and must then interpret the battery level as fuel in ml. (for emissionClass "Energy" it will still track electricity).

Likewise you can interpret chargingStations as gas stations by adapting their parameters accordingly.  There is as of yet no support to distinguish charging properties for different fuels.

The download at  https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Downloads.php#sumo_-_latest_development_version will include the new feature tomorrow.

Hello

As of right now, I am currently aware of the fact that SUMO can model
electric fueling infrastructure and vehicles, but can it be used to create
models of other fueling infrastructures and vehicles such as hydrogen,
propane, or even biodiesel fueling alternatives or at least mimic their
functionality? The SUMO documentation talks about the modeling of these
vehicles in traffic flows for fuel consumption and emission modeling, but is
it possible to have them fueling with supporting fuel infrastructure?

Thanks in advance for the help
