Try running your traci script from the command line rather than from within your IDE. Can you replicate the problem on a different computer / OS?

I checked all of the things and the simulation/GUI still stops during the
second run. I also checked the current versions of SUMO and the TraCi
client, which are fine. It is strange that I can't even stop the Python
script (using Spyder as software) with using ctrl-c - only a hard-reset of
the computer "solves" the problem. Also the output-files are not
written/generated totally.
Yesterday I also noticed that the simulation already stopped working during
my very first simulation of the day. I used the files which I generated the
day before. Is this maybe a sign for a (certain) problem/thing to check?
(also connected to my main problem)
