Re: [sumo-user] Truck + Trailer cornering / "internal joint"

Hello,
unfortunately, none of these things are possible yet but you are not the first person to consider them (the same issues apply to rail cars):

Version 1.2 introduced vehicle bending if the guiClass is "truck/trailer".
However, this seems to be purely cosmetics for sumo-gui, with no effect on
the reported/logged vehicle orientation (vehicle front)

Is there a way to actually access this more realistic cornering behavior for
long vehicles with internal joints (via TraCI or logfiles)?

Ideas:
* Can i access the position/orientation of the gui-shape truck via TraCI?
* Simulate just the truck in SUMO, and somehow configure a "rear safety gap"
with the size of the trailer?
* Simulate the trailer as an invidivual vehicle that thightly follows the
truck?
