And is not there any free alternative to model a hybrid bus?

We are actually partly working on that, and wanted to present the first results at SUMO 2020, but due to other things we have to concentrate on I will likely have to postpone it to 2021. It will be a series hybrid in any case, as we do not have the experience with parallel hybrids -- out target was up to now mostly public transport vehicles.

From my point of view what it boils down is (1) to get the correct engine maps (mapping rpm/torque/power to consumption/emissions), and those you get from engine manufacturer are usually, to put it mild, not very accurate -- and something like PHEMLight is probably more trustworthy. Then, what plays a crucial role is your (2) energy management and (3) start-stop strategy.

Alberto,

see the orange rectangle on the page you are referring to: PHEMlight is a commercial model, so to get an access to other vehicle classes you have to contact the Institute of ICE and Thermodynamics at TU Graz and buy the model (in fact, a set of data files) fro them. They actually do not advertise the model on their webpage anymore, but Google still refers to their flyer https://www.ivt.tugraz.at/assets/files/download/PHEMlight_en.pdf - the pricing is at the end, if I remember correctly the price does not include VAT. As a research institute we got 50% discount when we bought it in 2018.

Hope this helps.

Hello all,
I have been following the guide: 'https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Models/Emissions/PHEMlight.html', in order to model a hybrid bus that would be model as "HDV_CB_G_HEV", as it is explained in the guide. But in 'sumo-1_3_1/data/PHEMlight' there are only "PC_D" and "PC_G" models.  Is there any way I could have access to this models?. Also most of the COLOMBO links in the guide are down.
Thanks a lot,
Alberto
