Re: [sumo-user] vehicle missing when changing car-following model in emitters file

Thank you for the example scenario. The issue is now fixed. (https://github.com/eclipse/sumo/issues/5422).

regards,
Jakob

Hi Jakob,

Thanks for your reply. Please try the attached example. I don't think the issue is caused by vehicle safety.

Best regards,

Tony

In older versions, some insertion checks were missing that could cause vehicles to be inserted in unsafe situations and cause strong braking. These checks have been improved in the later version.
If you have a small scenario where vehicles do not depart as expected even though it should be safe, please send it to me.

Jakob

Hi guys,

In the latest SUMO version, I used dfrouter to generate traffic demand for multi-lane traffic networks. However, when I changed the default krauss model with other car-following models, for example, IDM in the emitters.xml file, some vehicles could not depart as scheduled. I also tried the same emitters file in the old SUMO version and it worked well.

Best regards,

Tony
