[sumo-user] Sumo for Autonomous and Connected vehicles

Hello everyone,

Not sure if I am sending duplicate posts but here goes:

I am a new SUMO User working on a simulating connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV). I would appreciate your suggestions on whether SUMO would be the right tool to use. 

In a mixed flow traffic (with traditional vehicles and CAVs), Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communications need to be modeled.

What level of detail is attainable while using SUMO for simulating V2V and V2I interactions ?
