Re: [sumo-user] Unwanted pedestrian crossing and waiting area geometry

Hello,
the median part does not have to be modelled with explicit edges. It is generated automatically (as a walking area that connects two crossings) if you define separate crossings for each side of the median.
I would expect that your median edges have bad geometry and are responsible for the ugly walking area shape.

Jakob

Hello,

during intersection modeling, I encountered again some strange waiting area shapes being generated: This grey triangle overlapping with the crossing shouldn't be there.

I want to have one crossing for each carriageway. The short pedestrian path in the median consists of two edges, so that it will not be removed during junction processing. As you can see from the screenshot, pedestrians find their way through the intersection, but tend to pass via this unwanted waiting area.

Is there an easy work-around to get rid of this?

Regards

Mirko
