Hi Paul,

Yes, the goal posts are being moved. Unsurprisingly, I disagree with the
view expressed in that thread.

Enabling downstreams to make progress is what matters and the M1 release
provides that.

Until the spec text arrives (it is on the way) the next thing on my TODO
list for Servlet is to look at updating the TCK. I think we caught all
the name changes but if we missed any subtle ones hopefully running the
TCK will uncover them.

I don't have a sense of how complex updating the TCK is going to be so I
plan to start with the simplest - EL - and use the experience gained
there to (hopefully) ease the Servlet TCK update.

I haven't done a careful check of the M1 release to see if everything
else (license, copyright, etc) is OK. Given we have since fixed various
copyright dates I suspect there are others things that need fixing too.
Informally reviewing the M1 release for possible issues is something
that could be usefully done now.
