I am not submitting changes to the PTP baseline. For my own project I want to develop on one server in Eclipse and compile/debug remotely on another server.
One server is running RHEL 6.2 (A) the other RHEL 5.4 (B). Server A is where C++ development through Eclipse is done. Server B is where compiles are done. The
CDT and RSE plugin were installed in eclipse (Server A) and the RDT daemon is running on Server B.
Does that environment setup apply to my situation?

I'm confused.
Are you developing PTP from source, with all the source files checked out from git, and running a runtime eclipse workbench in which you're using PTP?
That's what environment setup describes how to do. And you would have two workbenches, dev and runtime, with two sets of perspectives...

Sounds like you are a PTP "user", but you don't have a complete install of RDT - that's where the "Remote C/C++ Perspective" would come from.
How did you install CDT, RDT, and RSE?
