Dave,
yes, I would support the usual logical operators !()&|; the meaning of selected would be specific to the widget and would be up to the implementer to make sure that it corresponds to what is expected.
I welcome any responses to this ... I won't do it unless there is a real need for it, since there is little time to get it into Indigo anyway.
But your first two requests I hope to honor before next Tuesday.
