Well, not a clean experiment, but I had closed eclipse entirely – brought it backup, reopened, and happiness prevails (or at least it is functioning as expected, no dstore crashes, indexing looks good, etc).

I updated my helios to the latest build (from the ptp SR1 update site) – and noticed that when I created a remote project, I a) first had the dstore server die with an error “-1” (and b) consequently, I believe, this broke the indexing….)

Not sure why this happened –
