Re: [ptp-dev] PTP Monthly meeting, August minutes

Jie,

I'm in the process of trying to get funding for debugger work, and hope to know more in the next month or so. The work will concentrate in the following areas:

- general improvements to stability, including support for gdb 7.x features
- scalability improvements to the backend and UI, including support for SCI
- new functionality to improve parallel debugging on large systems

Assuming the funding is successful, I'll start regular working group meetings that you would be welcome to participate in. Any contributions would be gratefully accepted!

Cheers,
Greg

I'm glad to see that the future remote support will
include "Adding remote support to ETFw, PLDT, and Photran".
If equipped with these enhancements, PTP will become a
 full-function remote application development environment,
and will be much more attractive.

Also glad to hear that PTP debugger has been used in practice.
In fact, I feel that the parallel debugger is the component
which needs for the most development efforts if it is to be used
in daily development by parallel programmers.

Greg, will you talk about your plan on the debugger?
And hope I can contribute to it if possible.

Jie
