Re: [ptp-dev] Re: Thinking about writing a "scaling test" RM

Randy,
the latest version of the proxy is now always available at:
At milestones the bug will be updated with a current patch.
BTW: If anyone need version control outside of the official CVS this works very well with github.

Randy,
I thought that using Dieter/Roland's prototype proxy would be the way to go for this. See bug #302109 for the source code.

Is it in the CVS repo?

Greg, Randy,
yes I think the java proxy would be well suited for this. At this point the proxy is still completely generic and not PBS specific at all. So it should be easy to create a test proxy.
Are you interested in the code? Do you want us to open a bug and attach it their or just send it by email?
BTW: Actually it is not "my" proxy. Most of the code at the moment is still your (Greg) code. And Dieter plans to do most of the work from our side on the proxy.

Randy,
I think it could be very useful. Would it make sense to use Roland's java based RM for this?

Greg, Dave, Roland,
I've been toying with the idea of writing an RM that generates
predictable
loads on PTP to be used for scalability testing.
Do you think that would be worth the effort?
