Re: [ptp-dev] Machinefile for OpenMPI/ORTE

Not until 2.1. The only thing you could do would be create your own installation of OMPI and specify a different install directory.

Thanks. Is it possible to specify an alternate machine file?

Hi Wyatt,

Add the machines to <ompi_install_dir>/etc/openmpi-default- hostfile. In 2.1 you'll be able to specify the machines as part of the launch configuration
as well.

Greetings,

We're running PTP on two nodes with 8 processors/node. It looks like
it's only actually able to use 1 node though. Explicitly specifying
its behavior in a machine-file is our best guess for how to deal with this, but we aren't sure where to do so to make ORTE find it, if it is
possible at all. The PTP Perspective in Eclipse displays just one
node available.

Thanks,

Wyatt
