Re: [ptp-dev] steps for testing a PTP cvs build?

Create an 'Eclipse application' launch configuration. This will start a new copy of Eclipse with the plugins in your workspace active.

All you should need to do is check out the components from CVS in org.eclipse.ptp/core, /debug and /releng. Then go into your workspace and find org.eclipse.ptp.linux.x86 (or whatever your arch is) and run 'sh BUILD' as normal. You can then start a runtime version of eclipse with the PTP plugins installed. It should now work as if the plugins were installed directly into eclipse.
Let me know if you run into problems.

hi -

Are there general steps I can follow to set up a dev environment. Say, the easy part such as using cvs checkout all components can be skipped, but how to make a build from scattered components and test it with Eclipse environment?

Any pointer is appreciated.
