Re: [ptp-dev] sdm/gdb Failed to get stack frames from backend

Great! Let me know if you have any other problems. BTW the 1.1 version of the SDM supports gdb 6.4 and 6.5, but not 6.3 and earlier. I'll see if it's possible to add a test so it can support the older versions.

I rolled back two PC’s to gdb-6.3-r4 and the problem goes away.

Brian,

If you can, please try gdb 6.3. I am seeing your problem with 6.4 and 6.5 also. Looks like they changed something in the gdb interface after 6.3.

After installing Gdb 6.4 I have the same issue. I had actually upgraded to 6.5 while trying to troubleshoot.

I’m curious what Linux distro others use. Perhaps its gentoo specific, even though I installed everything eclipse/ptp related outside of the Portage tree.

Thanks,

I can downgrade gdb. I’ll let you know if that fixes it.

Looks like there's a compatibility issue with gdb-6.5 (PTP 1.0 was built prior to the 6.5 release).  I'll see if I can fix and do a 1.0.1 build.
