The only thing I can think of is that
the test machine had its resolution set to 800x600.  (The os was recently
reinstalled by our IT team on a new hard drive).  I changed it to
1280x1024 to match the other machines.

We are seeing the same UI test failures (org.eclipse.ui.tests_linux.gtk.x86)
in the nightly build.  Again, it seems that there is something about
the test machine that causes the tests to fail.  Could it be that
another process is running on the machine that gets focus instead of Eclipse,
or opens a window  that obscures Eclipse's?
