Re: [pdt-dev] PDT 5.3 N&N
As RC2 was promoted build nr 201802202350 with commit 572a4c2e2729254dc5828984027a4e124643a732. Current master is 5 commits behind.

I can copy current build as RC3 and prepare 6.0 builds.

was PDT 5.3 RC2 released?
Can we split branch to start merging pending works (on master) for PDT 6?

So could we agree to freeze PDT 5.3 code at Friday 2/23 and after that use master to merge PDT 6 stuff ? 😊

Yes that is a very interesting release indeed ! 😊
A lot of work, thank you to everybody! 😊

I added bug 427031 (Make the "Empty lines" indentation policy work correctly when selected) to the N&N, even if it only fixes the "selected" case (which was totally broken). I'm still working on the "not selected" case, it's less important but more tricky to correct, so let's merge it for PDT 6 😉

Dawid, you should also say that you corrected a very *BIG* and longstanding problem in PDT:
https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/115761/ (No bug - Introduce real PHP reconciler)

It will for sure solve a lot of editor glitches seen in the past, it's not a minor thing!
And some related bugs can probably be closed, or they will uselessly stay open forever 😉

Hi Team,

I promoted PDT 5.3 RC1 build for Oxygen.3 [1], it’s build from today morning.

Here are initial N&N for review materials: https://wiki.eclipse.org/PDT/NewIn53
Looks like lot’s of things happen in this release ;)  Feel free to update / improve this document.

Please let me know if you new feature during RC2 or RC3 (sic!) phase. Besides I think we can split branch right after RC2 and continue work on PDT 6.
