great, that's good news!

While comparing the plugin_customization.ini files for both information modeling and Papyrus-RT, the information modeling one had a lot more preferences set, especially on the emf compare side, and the intro side. I am not that expert on EMF compare preferences, but I suspect (and I am not the only one [2]!) some of the preferences should be also setup in the papyrus-RT RCP. Could someone have a look to this RCP preferences and compare?

For the EMF Compare configuration, the following three ones are perfectly fine:

org.eclipse.emf.compare.ide.ui/org.eclipse.emf.compare.ide.ui.preference.resolutionScope=WORKSPACE

org.eclipse.egit.ui/enable_logical_model=true

org.eclipse.egit.core/core_preferredMergeStrategy=model recursive

Additionally we could add the following to be inline with the Oomph setup, even though it doesn't work yet (see EMF Compare bug 496582):

org.eclipse.emf.compare.rcp/org.eclipse.emf.compare.preference.conflict.detector=org.eclipse.emf.compare.rcp.fast.conflictDetector

I will fix also some more items => for example, there is no progress bar shown on the splash screen, we do not know if the launch is OK or if we are stuck.

Good news! I just tested the build #211 of the RCP, and the view point is now set automatically as expected! 

 

The names of the preferences are now aligned with what we already had in the tester setup file, so that explains why it worked there but not initially in the RCP.
