Yes, you're totally right, editors should get automatically closed as they
become uninteresting so that the list doesn't bloat.  That was my reasoning
behind disabling Eclipse's auto close when this is enabled and I neglected
to create the bug report.  Could you please submit that as a bug report?
Fyi, I ask people to do this instead of filing them myself because reports
usually get prioritized higher if I'm not the submitter ;)

Regarding the opening on activation issue, the newsgroup is probably the
best place to bring that up when you get a chance.

Btw, I'm curious, why do you use Ctrl+F6 instead of Ctrl+E out of habit or
because you like that UI more?  I prefer Ctrl+E because it lets you type
filter text, but don't use either much anymore.
