I gave some thougths to the option using windows TCP Loopback Fast Path in case of clients running on the same node as the broker.

What do you think?

Maybe this could be configured for an extra listener just for the fast loopback.

 

Some notes regarding our use case:

We want to use decentralized MQTT brokers running on windows, bridged to central brokers.

Some clients running on the same nodes as the decentralized brokers and need to communicate (also) to each other in an “as fast as” possible way.

We would like to use MQTT instead of e.g ZeroMQ to have a common protocoll in the architecture.
