Re: [milo-dev] Doubt about OPC-UA server developing based on milo

If possible, it would be useful to have some Java interfaces and a simple implementation
to implement a gateway to the PLC protocol.

I had some problem with the protocol conversion server product that I used before, and
at that time, I thought that if I could implement it myself using Milo, I could make a stable gateway.

Tony,

The example server does not include any functionality for communication with PLCs.

Exposing data you're getting from PLCs via OPC UA is certainly something you can do with Milo (we do that in our product at work), but how you get that data is outside the scope of the SDK.

A while back there was somebody else on the mailing list who was interested in collaborating on an open source server with drivers for various PLCs, maybe they've made some progress on that or are still interested?

Hi,

I have a doubt that if the server-examples in milo includes the communicate module with the external hardware devices? For example PLCs.

If anyone has the solution about this, thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Tony
