Hello,

regarding the decoration of figures upon creation you can find the 
creation of each figure in the diagram is located in the 
XXXViewProviders class in the 'providers' package of each diagram.
That class includes several methods to create the figures of the diagram 
and any figure decoration or customization can be performed there.
This class and these methods are the ones used by the ViewService to 
create the views when needed and are used when views are created via 
tools or drag&drop.
That is a good point to add the customization of figures.
