Re: [technology-pmc] Request assistance for GeoMesa for release review (1.2.0)

Congrats - this is exciting! Grinding through the tabs

Overview
- looks fine
- consider this announcement will be many people's first exposure to the project so you may wish to introduce the project (before getting into details on  Accumulo, HBase, Google Bigtable, and Cassandra data stores).
- the release review links to 1.2.0-release-review which appears partially filled in?

Release Plan
- how is this different from overview? Not sure I get it...

Review Information
- New & Noteworthy URL - missing? Consider linking to release page on your website?
- New & Noteworthy section - missing? Consider just saying this is the first official LocationTech release?
- Non-Code Aspects: Given that this release will be up for a while do you have a specific 1.2.0 documentation page? The link to the home page will point to subsequent releases in the future
- Communities: may wish to describe what version of geoserver this release is compatible with.

1.2.0-release-review
- looks like I can sign in to post comments
- is this like the formal review/feedback period, such as during initial project creation?

Hi all,

GeoMesa is pushing for a 1.2.0 release scheduled for February 17th! We'll finally be out of incubation.  The release review documentation is at the following link.  Prior to the 17th, the GeoMesa project needs approval of the release.  Please take a look at the documentation and provide any feedback.
