Re: [jdt-debug-dev] M5 Candidate Fixes

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=43470

There is still a longer delay for the breakpoint to be displayed in the ruler when the background synchronization job is running (3s) than when it's not running (>0.5s), but it's way better than when the bug had been filled. We will need to use optimizeIt to check where we are waiting, and what we can do.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=45953

Fixed, I filled bug 47015 for the more general case of this bug (no sure what we can/want to do)

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=46920

It was a dup of bug 45452 (already fixed)

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=46274

I'm not able to reproduce the problem, I tried multiple time with a small test case, and a few time with a runtime workbench, I don't get defunct processes. Killing a runtime workbench when I no more want it, is not usualy how I work (I like my breakpoint to stay were I set them :-) ). So I can't say it never happens, as I don't do it all day long.

Team,

Please investigate the following assigned bugs for M5. If possible, we'd like fixes in for M5. If a fix is risky, or if you think a fix is low priority please let me know, and we can defer to M6.

As the noon build is 9AM PST, we will likely need to request a manual re-build when we have the fixes in hand.
