FWIW, I'm a huge fan of Slack. To me, it's what email should have been... :-)

That said, I'm fine with official communications still being in email, but I do think we will be more efficient using Slack.  Aside from release discussions, I expect that there will be some user discussion in Slack as well.

 Lots of other groups are using it. I would be good if you and everyone else can join. It can help us move faster, especially closer to a release date.
