[iot-wg] [CfP] Eclipse IoT Day, 18.03.15, Dresden, Saxony

Call for Participation for the “Eclipse IoT Workshop-Day”

From 17. - 20. March 2015 the “Multikonferenz Software Engineering and Management 2015” (http://swm2015.de/) will take place at Dresden/Germany as a joint event of “Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.”, Technical University Dresden and the high-tech network “Silicon Saxony” (www.silicon-saxony.de).

Dresden is famous for his chip and related industry with companies like Global Foundry, Infineon, ASML and many small and medium businesses combining hard- and software to innovative products. Additionally suppliers of software products for automotive industry, i.e. VW and Audi, play an important role.

Besides the academic program of this conference seven workshops (http://swm2015.de/se-2015/se15-workshops) will focus on innovations, current trends and practical aspects around “software engineering for (secure) cypher-physical systems” (this year head line of conference).

“Eclipse IoT Workshop” is an all-day event on 18. March 2015 with 7x 45 minutes talks.

We expect 50 - 100 participants (software developer, architects, researchers and practitioners) of all skill levels of software engineering and IoT topics.

Workshop goals

	• promoting (inform about) Eclipse based technologies
	• promoting role of Eclipse Foundation and “eco system” for establishing open standards and frameworks/tools

Workshop focus

	• Software development (engineering) for the Internet of Things with focus on Eclipse IoT projects/technologies: protocols, frameworks, tooling (Java and non-Java)
	• architectures/solutions for IoT
	• innovations, trends and solutions to software engineering problems i.e. security at all or for constraint devices
