There is indeed some discussion around this going on in the Architecture
Council. Apart from finding a new home for the code base (i.e. another
project would need to volunteer, which nobody does so far), there also
is a need for operating server infrastructure for AERI. Eclipse IT
people could in theory do that, but so far the architecture council
considers other tasks that they have more important, so my current
impression is that unless some project steps up, AERI will die ...
