Re: [iot-pmc] PMC approval needed for committer vote for Ilya Lipkind
I can think of a bunch of situations which could explain the nomination. But I also don't want to make any guesses. And I also think it is not the duty of the PMC to dig into this and find out what the real reason for the nomination is. The reason provided in the nomination is clear to me though. And if this is really the case, it would be a -1 for me.

My expectation would be that the project leads of Keti are subscribed to the IoT PMC mailing list, as all project leads should be. So if there is any clarification which makes us understand their situation, I am happy to hear it.

I also think there are enough channels of information available, so that people/projects can inform themselves how things work. In doubt, asking the mentors is always a good idea.

I think the PMC should definitely ask the Keti project committers for clarification. I *think* the challenge is that GE has a lot of turnover in staff right now so Keti has been slow to get started since the people keep changing.

Regardless, I think someone should challenge them on this election.

  * Read through the Eclipse project handbook [1], which explicitly covers this section
  * Contact your mentors for additional explanations
  * Contact EMO in any other case
