Re: [iot-pmc] [CQ 8691] MQTT-SN \"reference\" code

Do you need more information or action from me regarding this particular CQ?

Sure, I think we should do a preliminary check for any dependencies that
look strange, or licensing issues that look problematic from the
beginning, so that the IP team does not have to stumble over those
things directly. Any thoughts?

I would see this like normal Orbit CQs, or third party dependency CQs
... in contrast to works-with/pre-requisite.

Thanks Ian, I have just +1’ed it.

@Jens,Benjamin: As „standard“ contributions do not require a PMC discussion, I hope you are ok with the procedure that just one of us simply has to +1 such CQs.

Dear PMC,

Paho would like to accept this contribution of MQTT-SN "reference" code which was written in IBM Zurich at the time of the original writing of the MQTT-SN specification. MQTT-SN is closely related to MQTT, but is designed for non-TCP transports such as ZigBee and UDP.

I do not expect this code necessarily to be maintained or improved itself, but serve as an example for future implementations.

This reference code comprises:

1) an MQTT-SN C client
2) a Java MQTT-SN to MQTT gateway
3) a Java MQTT-SN UDP client

Thanks

Ian
