Re: [hono-dev] Google Summer of Code

I fact we (as projects) have a bit more time, however the Eclipse Foundation (as an organization) has this deadline of January 23rd.

But for that they should already present a list of ideas, which is currently completely empty. I hope we can fill this with our ideas.

I would be willing to mentor. I did this the last two years already. But I am also happy to help anyone else mentor.

I will add an idea to the wiki, as an example.

Cheers

Jens

Hi,

Jens has indicated that the deadline for projects to apply for GSoC [1] is close (Jan 23rd).

I think that GSoC would be an excellent opportunity for us to get some extra work done that is not on top of our lists currently and to also attract new people to the project. What we as a project need to provide is a mentor for each student that decides to work with us.

What do you think about the idea? And more importantly, would you be willing to act as a mentor?
