Re: [geomesa-users] Spark SQL functions buffer Geometry

Hello,

I don't believe anyone is actively planning to work on it, but it would probably be fairly trivial if someone wanted to tackle it. The underlying JTS geometry library supports buffering arbitrary geometries.

I opened a ticket to track the idea here: https://geomesa.atlassian.net/browse/GEOMESA-2479

Thanks,

Emilio

Hey there,

I am playing around with more complex geometry queries, mainly polygons.
There is a function st_bufferPoint, that includes some space around a Point.
Are there any plans to support this buffer queries for polygons, too?

Thank you very much,

Martin
