I'm glad you found the SNAPSHOT releases.
GeoMesa is using a JIRA instance for tracking bugs:
https://geomesa.atlassian.net/secure/Dashboard.jspa
As for a roadmap, that's a bit less well defined, but the open JIRA
tickets do suggest some of the directions we hope to go in subsequent
releases.
