Re: [ee4j-pmc] Do we have a tracking issue open for the Jakarta EE 8 final release?

More likely jakarta:jakartaee-api. For sure not javax as groupId.

IMHO, the jakartaee-platform repository is the right place for it.

If we follow the pattern that we've established, a hypothetical jakartaee(?:-platform)?-api repository would be the right place for the development of a technical API (i.e. a bunch of Java interfaces) and I don't believe that the Jakarta EE Specifications add any of those.

Regardless, if the project team feels that an additional repository is required, they can request that we make one.

Hi Elder,

To my knowledge, there isn't any repo for that yet. I would guess that the Platform project will be the appropriate place for it: https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/jakartaee-platform

Hi Ivar,

Is there any repository where we can find the Jakarta EE dependency? Something like "jakartaee-api"...

Just for tests purposes, of course.

Thanks,

Hi Scott,

We don't have a single issue for the final release, but we do have a board set up on GitHub under the Jakarta EE Platform project that is tracking the status of all specifications.

We will set up something tracking the actual release when we get started with that.

Hi,

Do we have a tracking issue for the Jakarta EE 8 final release?  This
was also asked on the Jakarta EE community ml [1].

I would like to follow such an issue, to be alerted of when we reach
milestones and/or release Jakarta EE 8 final.

Thanks,
Scott
