This is a great question, and something we should definitely be discussing as a group / community.
I'd recommend starting the conversation here in the mailing list. Present any details you have or elaborate more on the topic. Ideally we'll hear from others who share the same questions and start working on a solution. Another option would be to have you join one of the Steering Committee calls where you'll introduce the topic in more detail.

I'd expect this topic is of interest not only for Che but for other projects that use the VSCode extensions, and something to explore in the openvsx context.

What is the best way to engage / initiate discussion on topics like Telemetry support in Eclipse Che? A lot of VSCode extensions are using telemetry infrastructure provided by Microsoft, and as we create common VSCode extensions that would run in VSCode and Eclipse Che - questions on how the telemetry stuff would work are coming up. Any insight into that would be greatly appreciated!
