Re: [dsdp-mtj-dev] change mtj download format

I don't see any trouble other than the general confusion with changing the way things are done overall... On the other hand, if the other projects are doing this, we don't want MTJ to stand out as not following the standard.

Hi MTJ,

There is a discussion in the cross-project list to change the download format of the eclipse projects. there are a couple of advantages of this approach that are presents there.

The idea is that instead of providing a zip with eclipse plugins and features to be unzipped to on the dropins folder, we provide a zip with a p2 repository. The user would them download this zip repository and install on his eclipse distribution.

This is not a mandatory requirement. It is just a suggestion from the platform team and show a direction that the platform will go.

What are your thoughts on that? Does anyone foresee any problem with doing that with MTJ?
