[che-dev] Migrating Che Blog to a different platform

Hi everyone,

The Che blog [1] hasn't been available for a few weeks now. We are working to fix the problem [2] but, in the meantime, we would like to take the opportunity to move to a new platform.

In fact, medium.com hasn't been helpful to solve our problem (changing the blog URL), and their ownership model doesn't work well for us (one unique owner of the blog, every request needs to go through that owner).

A workflow that uses GitHub PRs and markdown looks more appropriate. GitHub pages with Jekill is currently our first choice. Mainly because it's the most popular, markdown based, static website generator.

So what are we going to do with the old blog posts? We will definitely try to migrate the old articles. There are few tools out there to migrate medium to jekyll. If those don't work properly we will just add a link to the old blog.
