Thank you folks for your responses! I hope it was enough time for everyone to speak up.
From the responses above, we can see that:
- there's no interest in hearing the detailed team updates weekly
- there is some interest in receiving the "big picture" update
Taking into account all the responses, I propose to start with the followings (based on Thomas' suggestion):
- team leads feel free to provide a written update weekly, in the meeting doc, with notable changes/plans (if there is anything), e.g. new features, API/UI/CLI changes, etc. But no reading it during a call
- if one has something to discuss - add a topic to the agenda in advance
- the moderator checks the agenda a couple of hours before a meeting begins and announces on the community chat/mailing list that the meeting will take place OR will be canceled as the agenda is empty
Later, we could think about replacing the written updates with something more convenient for everyone, as Eric's suggestion.
Let's wait until Monday, Nov 16, for more opinions, possibly. And if there're no objections - I propose to apply these changes starting next week.
