You may try to use source code from Git:
http://git.eclipse.org/c/cdt/org.eclipse.cdt.git

Specifically, you can try to checkout the tagged versions one by one
and test it:
http://git.eclipse.org/c/cdt/org.eclipse.cdt.git/refs/tags

JIC, Git provides some functionality to assist in this kind of bug
search - git bisect
(http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/git-bisect.html)
Most likely EGit do not provide this functionality, so you will need
command-line git.
