Thanks, that's great - opening up a K&R style file can seem pretty bad
if most of its marked up in red. The first workaround suggested below
solves that problem!

- You could disable the editor annotation problem.
   see Preference C/C++ --> Editor --> Hover --> annotation problem.
- There is also the indexer problem markers, see the Property of the
project
  "C/C++ indexer" property page, however they should be off by default.
