I just did a file system search.  There are about 18 structure model files.
The largest is about two megs.  They take up 13 megs total.  We have 16
projects that are AJ projects.  The thing that is still strange is that I
get 20 minute build times all of a sudden with the structure option turned
back on.  Yesterday I flipped a compiler setting of warn on non
internationalized strings to on and Eclipse started a full build all.  That
took 3 hours.  Structure was on then.  I'm still trying to figure out how to
get things back in the slow state to do benchmarks =).

Since we persist structure models across builds by serializing, and only
keep one in memory at a time, we can determine their effect on memory usage
by checking the file sizes.  Scott, on your disk you'll find these as files
within the root of the project ending in ".ajsym", but note that they tend
to start with a "." so they won't be visible in the Package Explorer.  If
you could provide some info on these file sizes that would be helpful.
