Ok. This is a minor setback, but if I have been able to explain my requirements for an XML editor ui -- would you recommend anything.

I can use any help and directions and know very well that this question is not in the purview of the wst-dev fourm, but still would appreciate your thoughts.

No, it would not be that class.  The screenshot you sent me looks similar
to a proprietary editor offered in IBM's commercial products, not in the
Web Tools Platform.  You should talk to your support contacts if you want
to learn more about those.
