I have tested a bit more. It looks like the problem with compilation is limited to JBoss Server adapter, since it behaves the same way with Java EE projects with versions 5.0, 6.0 as well. On the other hand Glassfish tools v3 handles the same versions correctly.

So basically I cannot test the Java EE 7 scenario, if anyone can advise where I can get a stable version of the JBoss AS Tools or Glassfish 4 tools that can be installed on Luna please do tell.

Running the Java EE scenarios I ran into some problems with Java EE 7 scenarios:
The classpath for ejb client is not configured correctly and it cannot compile properly. The second one is that I cannot run any Java EE 7 artifacts on Glassfish or JBoss servers.

I can however install JBoss tools from the development repository:
But I cannot run anything on that server, even a simple web project (my guess is that I am using somehow the wrong tools)
 
Running the web project on Apache Tomcat 8 is ok and works as expected.
 
I am marking the smoke test result as fail, mainly for the ejb-client compilation errors.

Please document your Project's testing and approval of this build,
by End of Business Thursday (6pm EST), or let us know if that's not possible. 

The Dali junit tests had an issue, and failed most of the the tests in their bucket - please let us know if we need to respin/ retest to fix this issue.
