The problem I knew about was the opposite
... unzipping into 'eclipse' directory stopped working for a while. (*)

And, using RC2, I can unzip the SDK,
and then unzip the test framework into dropins, and it _does_ find the
coretestapplication .. it shows these two extra ones, over what's in your
list. 

org.eclipse.test.coretestapplication
org.eclipse.test.uitestapplication

that's using the windows version, 

* I just heard today that some committers
on WTP did not know that you could now, once again, unzip stuff into the
'eclipse' directory. 
I still usually try not to do that,
and our JUnit's on the build machine do not use 'eclipse', they use 'dropins'.

I am getting the same exception with the latest and greatest RC2 build.
So I guess the problem is not completely gone; do you recall the bug number
for this issue?

included in the testdependency.xml and unzipped in the dropins directory.

to "normal" 'eclipse' directory or 'dropins'.  (Though,
