If we would deploy the Gerrit gitiles plugin [1] we could use gitiles to render markdown online.

Some additional Gerrit configuration [2] could link gitiles from Gerrit to enable seamless

online browsing, for an example see e.g. [3].

The supported Markdown features are described in [4].
