Dear Technology PMC members,
By this e-mail I would like to request PMC approval
for release review of Subversive (SVN team provider project) 0.7.
Why we want to make this release? There are
following reasons:
- We moved project
to eclipse.org from previous project location in November 2007, but since
that time we published only stream stable builds. We have a long list of
bugfixes and features appeared since project migration, so we want to distribute
them as part of “release”. Thus we can suggest our users to
install this “release” instead of various stable builds, which
they currently use, until we will publish new release together with
Ganymede.
- Subversive is a
part of simultaneous Ganymede release, so want include Subversive 1.0 into
Ganymede. Publishing of 1.0 release requires project graduation. According
to the process, at least one release before graduation is recommended, so
we want to follow this recommendation.
- We want to start
discussion with EPP team regarding inclusion Subversive into one of
packages, but to make it real Subversive should have a release.
What do you think about this? Please feel free to
ask if you need additional information.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Igor Vinnykov
