[technology-pmc] Re: Further Questions Re: Subversion

Igor,
I'm note sure we've been completely clear on what is and is not allowed at this moment. So let me clear:
  • The Subversive project may _not_ have a site.xml on eclipse.org pointing to features on polarion.org (or other non-eclipse.org sites).
  • The Subversive project _must_ have English prose on the Subversive downloads page on eclipse.org that explains that one of the clients is required for operation and that the clients have different non-EPL licenses and that the user will want to check those licenses before downloading. Additionally, the English prose will provide the URL to the polarion.org update site containing those non-EPL clients.

Hello Janet,

Sorry I forgot to mention this notice in my summary. Sure that we will put it to project pages and downloads.

Best regards,

Igor Vinnykov

Hi Igor,

The end user will need to be aware of the software they are downloading and the terms under which they are obtaining the software.  In doing the implementation, it is important that you prominently display the following notice:

Please note that the use of the software you are about to access may be subject to third party terms and conditions and you are responsible for abiding by such terms and conditions.

Regards,
Janet
