Just in case there are those who are building the STEM development environment as in
https://wiki.eclipse.org/STEM_Eclipse_Setup...
As mentioned in the minutes of the last community meeting, STEM can now run on Java 11. Recommended package to use is the Eclipse Modeling Tools (has all the needed prerequisites).
Slight problem with the latest 2021-03 R release of the IDE, the Eclipse Java packages seem to have undergone some changes and exhibit some inconsistencies with the STEM source code.
Jamie confirmed these are most likely warnings and not errors per se.
After pulling the source code from the repository and applying the correct target environment, click on the newly applied target environment item in Preferences -> Plug-in Development -> Target Platform (there's an error indicator on it), and click "Edit..."
Select the error item (there is a sub-item that says "Unable to locate installable unit org.eclipse.xtext.sdk.feature.group...") and click on "Update"
After the packages are updated, building the STEM development environment proceeds as normal.
BTW, I'm using Linux (RHEL 8.3)
