Torkild and I met briefly, a summary is below:
Torkild: Logo: We are way to late, it
requires board approval. Only received response from Triquetrum
and TexClipse. No time before release. Will try to get process
moving forward.
Christopher: The release date is Oct 10. Reviews are handled
the first and third Wednesdays.
Torkild: Submit the release on Friday, Sept. 22.
Christopher: That date is when the IPLog should be submitted
Torkild: Not allowed to accept contributions after that date,
but are allowed to make changes if you are a committer.
I'll update the wiki.

Is there anyone who wants to call in? We could try https://hangouts.google.com/call/yNtbN2EP2m90SQNqWWggAAkE

https://wiki.eclipse.org/Science_WG/2017_Release
says that October 10 is the release date.
The release will be scheduled for
October 2017, with a proposed date of 10th October 2017. This
would be 2 weeks before Eclipsecon Europe and once again use
this release and conference as momentum to promote the latest
of our great features.
https://www.eclipse.org/projects/handbook/#release-review
says:
Release reviews run for a week and always conclude on a
Wednesday.

We schedule reviews to conclude
on the 'first and third Wednesdays of the month'.
Your release date does not have to coincide with the
review date (you can set the release date as
necessary). The review must, however, conclude
successfully before you can make the release
official. |
A 'release review' requires review documentation and an
intellectual property (IP) log check. The review process
must be initiated at least two weeks in advance of the
anticipated 'review' date.
Two weeks in advance of October 10 is September 26, so the
review process must be initiated by September 26. I believe the
review on the first Wednesday of the month (October 4) would
catch this?

I think we need to have the initial part of this discussion in email
as it sounds like many of us (me included) cannot make the call today.
As for January, AFAIK it should be ready. I suppose we need a date for
the release so we can start counting weeks backwards for when release
reviews/etc need to be submitted.

Hi Christopher!
Yes, thanks for reminding me. I have been consumed by a number of other projects lately, but I think we should meet to talk about the Science simultaneous release and the status of contributing projects. Some issues that occur to me:
- Which projects are ready and which aren't
- Any issues that are preventing projects from participating
- What technical activities need to occur
- Who is coordinating the release
- How we plan to announce the release
- Where the release will be made available
Any other topics that people can think of.
Regards,
Greg
